Nahuel Zamponi is a biologist interested in cellular biology, complexity and evolution. He studied biology in the National University of Cordoba (UNC), where he received his degree in 2011. He then obtained a Ph.D. in biology (summa cum laude, 2016) from the UNC under the mentorship of Drs. Carolina Touz and Francisco Tamarit. His thesis research focused on reductive evolution in simple unicellular models. Soon after finishing his PhD, he worked under the mentorship of Drs. Chialvo and Helguera developing new quantitative tools to measure mitochondrial network status
